RemotePLE requires an FTP connection to the server, or a local drive, and optionally access to the RadioBOSS API.

FTP / SFTP connection:
Open the settings with F10. In the 'Common' tab, enter the FTP host, port, user name and password.
Select the connection mode: active, passive, automatic, SFTP or Local.
For FTPS (encrypted), activate the 'FTPS Connection' checkbox.
The 'FTP root directory' is the base directory on the FTP server holding the audio files (also the highest level you can navigate up to).
The 'FTP initial directory' sets the directory shown when first opening the FTP tab.

Root path mapping:
The lower part of the 'Common' tab maps the virtual FTP paths to the matching drive paths on the RadioBOSS machine. One entry is enough for a simple setup; add one line per drive if the audio files are spread across several drives. Each entry has: Virtual path (as shown by the FTP/SFTP server, e.g. / or /srv/audio/), RadioBOSS drive (the Windows drive path on the RadioBOSS machine, e.g. R:\ - it must point to the physically same files as the virtual path), and Local path (only for local mode - where the accessing machine reaches the same files, e.g. E:\). Use Add / Update / Delete to manage the list; the last entry cannot be deleted. See 'Settings > Connection' for details.

Local mode:
Select 'Local' to access a local or network drive without an FTP server - useful when RemotePLE runs on the same machine as RadioBOSS or the audio folder is mapped as a network drive. In this mode the FTP host field is not used (disabled); enter the local paths in the 'Local path' column of the root mapping instead. Port, user, password and FTPS are not needed.

RadioBOSS API and database:
The RadioBOSS API address and credentials, the relay and trigger links, the livestream URL and the database settings are on the 'RadioBOSS' tab. Without API access, the On-Air area remains hidden.

Testing the connection:
Save the settings and check whether the FTP directory is listed and the On-Air display appears.
